They would not let you onto the course if you needed a certain level of French as a pre-requisite so if that's what you want to do, enroll and have fun learning french! The language doesn't taste good, or feel good in my mouth. However, I'm a natural in Italian. It's a happy, expressive, emotional and musical sound. I like the "american" language as well. They should go slow and assume that you have had no prior exposure to the language. It'll be fun. I'm a Spanish minor and the two classes I've had so far were pretty easy. You'll have to practice outside of class and use what you learn as much as possible to make it stick. A foreign language is forgotten easily if you don't practice it.
